LAST MINUTE MESSAGE for a TIME CAPSULE

I have to tell you this, whoever you are:
that on one summer morning here, the ocean
pounded in on tumbledown breakers,
a south wind, bustling along the shore,
whipped the froth into little rainbows,
and a reckless gull swept down the beach
as if to fly were everything it needed.
I thought of your hovering saucers,
looking for clues,
and I wanted to write this down,
so it wouldn't be lost forever ---
that once upon a time we had meadows here,
and astonishing things,
swans and frogs and luna moths
and blue skies that could stagger your heart.
We could have had them still,
and welcomed you to earth, but
we also had the righteous ones
who worshipped the True Faith, and Holy War.
When you go home to your shining galaxy,
say that what you learned
from this dead and barren place is
to beware the righteous ones.

COAST GHOST investigates the evidence.
When constant and repeatable results are obtained in experiments and investigations carried out in rigorous procedures, a scientist can state with assuredness that the outcomes are not only continuously predictable, but that SOMETHING is there. What the SOMETHING is may not be definable at first, but the scientist, or searcher, always classifies and labels the SOMETHING. The good scientist also quantifies the results of these experiments and investigations.
Why should the search for the extraordinary be any different than, say, the search for dark matter in the universe? Quantum physics is finding energy never before quantified or even predicted including the possibility of the malleability of time itself. Surely the para-normal or extra-ordinary or meta-physical can be included in the search for the substance of the universe.
Just because we can sense and feel these energies doesn't mean they aren't as real as dark matter or the quark. Just because these energies often scare us and make us feel awful or repelled doesn't mean they aren't real.
SUBTLE ENERGIES
From the beginning of time, we humans have recognized what I call the subtle energies. The same way we are cognizant of sounds and visual images, which we Westerners are more attuned to, we humans are cognizant of the non-visual, non-auditory energies.
Whereas dogs and all other animals are skilled at 'feeling' with the 'other' senses, that is, 'seeing' with the inner eye or even 'tasting' or shivering or emotional responses, we humans have dismissed these sensations as not real. Mainly because of religious admonitions that these sensations are evil. But they are simply another level of energy with probably the full range of good to evil to indifferent like what we perceive in our visual range.
After much investigation over several centuries, there is fair agreement of the existence of several forms of subtle energies.
The COHERENT forms such as apparitions can and will interact with us solid forms. Perhaps they 'feel' us as we 'feel' them. Not having visual apparatus they probably sense our energy as coherent like theirs.
The NOT-SO COHERENT forms are simply impressions in the energy - time field which replay like digital films. We sense them like we sense heat or cold.
The NOT-SO-SUBTLE ENERGIES are the ones which really send chills up our spines and outright terrify us. We are reacting to them on a very primitive, instinctual level. Experts in the field call these dark entities and classify them as never having existed in solid form. Examples would be demons and trolls. Yet there are LIGHT energies which have never had our 'solid' form also and they have names such as fairies, elves, gnomes, sprites and the like. We even know where these various energies can be found:
TROLLS - under bridges and in dark caves
FAIRIES - in lovely gardens and by water falls
GNOMES - helping animals in distress, bringing good luck to gardeners
Which brings us to the naming of these energies. Each human culture has names for these ancient energies from ghosts and spirits to the undead and demons. Each culture treats these energies as real. Myths and even religious codes are set up to guide the 'living' in how to deal with the 'dead' and with 'evil' spirits. Celtic tradition is quite specific about putting milk on the doorstep for the friendly fairies.
MODERN TECHNOLOGY ALLOWS US A WINDOW INTO THIS WORLD
With the advent of sensitive technical devices such as digital cameras and audio recorders, plus the ability of the computer to analyze what is picked up, we are now finding ourselves able to see into this world of other energy.
We are having a very difficult time coming to terms with what we are catching in visual and audio form. After centuries of admonitions not to 'go there', suddenly we are 'out there' and coming home with the evidence.
COAST GHOST takes the evidence and examines what is there. Then it will be put where others can examine it. In a scientific exploration, repetitive experimentation is not only encouraged but required.
With the entreaty that all the evidence be up front and documented so it too can be examined and defined. This will allow the researcher to move forward and progress to the next step, even to the next level.
After all, we must, at the end of our solid existence, move on and wouldn't it be wise to understand without prejudice where we are headed? And what we will become?
